What's slowing your research isn't the science. It's the systems.
CTMS, eTMF, QMS, specimens, inventory, analysis. How many systems does your team retype the same information into to run a single study? We hit that wall as scientists — and built MAESTRO to remove it.
What eats your team's time isn't the research — it's holding the systems together.
Life-sciences software is fragmented for reasons that have nothing to do with science. It reflects how the vendors are structured. The cost of that always lands on the people doing the work.
You enter the same thing, over and over
Trial management, documents, quality, specimens, inventory. The same subject, the same site, the same date — retyped into a different system each time. Every re-entry plants another discrepancy.
The real status lives in a spreadsheet
Even after an expensive system goes in, the truth about where things stand sits in someone's Excel file. Working out which copy is current becomes a weekly job.
Every inspection stops the whole organization
Gathering documents, reconciling versions, hunting for gaps. For weeks before an inspection, your most experienced people are doing document retrieval.
Integration costs more than the capability does
Each system you add stacks up interface development, maintenance and re-validation. Much of the budget goes to connecting things rather than to doing the work.
You're giving up capability to fit the budget
Few organizations can buy the full suite from a major vendor. Most teams choose between dropping a capability they need and filling the gap by hand.
Siloed data means AI can't help
Nothing forecasts or detects across data scattered through disconnected systems. The precondition for using AI at all is missing.
One foundation, carrying the research from end to end.
Enter something once and it flows from trial management into documents, quality, specimens, inventory and analysis. That is what we are building toward.
Entering the same information into five systems
Enter it once — every related module has it
Everyone pulled in to assemble documents two weeks before an inspection
Inspection-ready every day, by default
A different support contact for every vendor
One team accountable for the whole thing
Cutting capability to fit the budget
Start with the modules you need, widen later
Data locked inside silos
One governed data layer where AI classifies, detects and forecasts
From where you are today to live, in four steps.
Nothing has to be replaced at once. We recommend starting with whichever work is costing you the most, then widening from there.
- 01
1. Understand the operation
We don't open with a product pitch. We start with your workflows, your constraints and your regulatory position. Finding where the time goes comes first.
- 02
2. Design the shortest path to value
Which module first, which data to migrate, how to fit the way your teams already work. You get a plan ordered by return — not by what is easiest to sell.
- 03
3. Build, migrate, validate
Validated migration from Excel, CSV, SharePoint and your existing systems, with GAMP 5-aligned validation documentation and training for your team.
- 04
4. Operate and keep improving
We stay engaged after go-live with monitoring, support and a transparent roadmap, shipping releases that reflect what your team tells us.
Five products. One data foundation.
We don't sell work that belongs together as separate products. Each module stands on its own, and every one you add is worth more than it would be alone.
MAESTRO Clinical Trials — clinical research platform
CTMS, eTMF, eISF and QMS in one system. Trial progress, essential documents and quality events all move on the same data layer.
- Real-time cross-site progress and enrollment dashboard
- eTMF completeness scoring with missing-document alerts
- Monitoring visits and corrective actions tracked to closure
MAESTRO ECMS — content, training & compliance
Controlled documents, competency records, validation packages and quality workflows in one record system that holds up to inspection.
- Controlled documents with version control and e-signature
- Training records and competency management in one place
- Deviation and CAPA quality workflows
MAESTRO IMS — inventory management
Inventory management designed for multi-site networks, with real-time visibility, reorder intelligence and GS1 barcoding.
- Real-time stock visibility across locations
- GS1 barcode and scan-based operation
- Expiry, lot and shelf-life management
MAESTRO Biobank — biospecimen management
Collection through storage, distribution and quality control, with the traceability translational research depends on.
- Tracking down to freezer, rack and box
- Chain-of-custody records
- Linked to clinical data on the same foundation
Bioinformatics — pipelines & custom engineering
Reproducible multi-omics pipelines, analysis platforms and AI models, engineered to scientific and regulatory standards and then put into production.
- Reproducible multi-omics analysis pipelines
- Results governed alongside your research data
- Designed for production scale from the start
The shared core — data layer, AI and security
The foundation every module sits on. Because it is shared, double entry disappears and AI can work across everything at once.
- Multilingual interface in 10+ languages, including Japanese
- AI document classification, metadata extraction and anomaly detection
- MFA, SSO (Azure AD / Entra ID) and role-based access control
- Append-only audit logs, TLS 1.3 and AES-256 encryption
Return the time spent holding systems together to the research.
This didn't come from a whiteboard. Running international trials through a pandemic is what shaped the design.
“We're scientists who worked in clinical and research settings, and we kept hitting the same wall. The tools are separate, so the data ends up separate — not for any technical reason, but because of how the vendors are structured. So we decided to build the integrated ecosystem ourselves.”
Answered.
MAESTRO is a multilingual platform. It currently supports more than 10 languages, including Japanese, and we keep adding. Your local team can work in their own language while overseas collaborators use theirs — against the same data and the same screens. Terminology and form wording can be adjusted during onboarding.
Yes. MAESTRO is cloud-agnostic and deploys on AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle or IBM, or on-premises. You choose the region, so running in the Tokyo region is supported. Where data sovereignty requirements are strict, a dedicated instance is available.
The platform is designed around ICH E6(R3), implements electronic records and signatures following 21 CFR Part 11 patterns, and maintains immutable audit trails. GAMP 5-aligned validation packages (IQ / OQ / PQ) are available. Note that conformity with Japan's GCP Ordinance is assessed against your SOPs and operating practices, not the system alone — we supply the documentation that assessment needs.
Yes. Validated migration from Excel, CSV, SharePoint and your existing business systems is part of onboarding. You start with your current data organized and indexed, rather than from a blank system.
No. Start with the module covering whichever work is heaviest. A versioned REST API (v1) and connectors mean the systems you keep running alongside it can stay connected.
Yes — integration matters most to organizations that can't staff a dedicated systems team. Compared with contracting several vendors separately and wiring them together, the implementation and running burden is far lower. It is designed for academic groups, biotechs, CROs and hospital research departments.
It depends on the scope and the state of your existing data. We start with a 30-minute walkthrough to understand where you are, then give you a realistic schedule and a phased rollout plan.
